If you accidentally click Delete instead of the empty recycle bin, the recycle bin icon simply disappears from your desktop. You can also empty all users’ recycling bins from the command line. This empties the trash only for that user. When the Explorer ribbon is displayed, you can select Empty Recycle Bin or Restore Item under Manage. To empty all items in the Recycle Bin, right-click the Recycle Bin desktop icon and select Empty Recycle Bin. If you want to delete it permanently, you can simply right-click the item in the Trash and click Delete. The item is moved to where you deleted it. If you want to recover an item you accidentally deleted, you can open the Recycle Bin, search for the item, right-click and click Restore. Pressing the Shift and Delete keys does not move the item to the trash. This moves the file or folder to the Trash. To delete an item, right-click and select Delete.
